I just check my email and I got email from Google Team. The subject is “Gmail for supriyadisw.net beta tester invitation”. I’m so glad. Why? Because my application about Gmail for my domain was accepted.

Welcome to our beta test!

Thanks for helping us test Gmail for your domain! We’re excited to
help you offer Gmail accounts with your domain.

Here’s how to get started:

  • First, log in with the same Google Account I used to volunteer to become a beta tester.
  • Next, they’ll guide me through a series of steps to register my domain for this service.
  • They’ll then ask me to create a new administrative account for my domain. Most people choose something like admin@mydomain.
  • I can then log in to the control panel with my administrative account. Within the control panel, I can create new users, modify or suspend accounts, create aliases and lists, and customize the look and feel of Gmail for mydomain. I can even upload whole lists of new users with the bulk upload feature, and assign administrative rights to multiple accounts.
  • Finally, I’ll need to configure your DNS MX records to work with Gmail. Once I log in to the control panel, I’ll see detailed instructions on how to complete this step.

Configuring Your Mail Exchange (MX) DNS Records

You can see help page to setup your MX. Check out their instructions for changing MX records using some common ISPs.

  • GoDaddy.com
  • NetworkSolutions.com
  • Enom.com
  • 1and1.com
  • DreamHost.com
  • Yahoo!SmallBusiness
  • DynDNS.com
  • Other ISPs

I did this following step:

  1. Login to my CPanel
  2. Go to Mail Manager Menu
  3. Select Modify Mail Exchanger (MX Entry)
  4. Click Change an MX Entry
  5. Change MX for my domain to ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
  6. And click Change button

Hint: You must enter a FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) as the MX destination.

Warning: Changing your MX to something besides mail.supriyadisw.net will prevent us from managing your mail. Your email will no longer be sent to this server.

After that, I create another user (up to 25 users for free). Well done. I have to wait for a several time to use Gmail for my domain.

Have a nice day…
